What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What is a Marketing funnel? Why should every marketer use one?

It's a strategy for marketing to encourage potential customers to buy items from your business. It's a sales method where a customer comes to your blog looking for information that can aid in solving a specific problem. With certain tools you will be able to learn to build a relationship and build confidence with every visitor.

This will allow you to better understand each visitor's needs. This will enable you to provide the most accurate information to each visitor. If you gain the trust of your visitors they are more likely to buy your products. The visitor then transform into a customer.

In time the majority of customers become very loyal customers who are willing to buy any item that you promote on your site. A marketing funnel is comprised of the different stages of the sales process that will convert a regular visitor to your website to a loyal customer who wants to purchase everything you can throw at them.

This is the ultimate objective of every online marketer. It is achievable with a properly designed funnel.

Your efforts to market are capturing people's attention, and drawing them to your funnel. After they have filled out the form on your PERSONAL lead capture page, they will be entered into the funnel. Since they're not likely to sign up for your lead capture page for business, I use the word "personal". They are looking to become a leader, and not a business.

The lead capture page is where they begin the funnel. If they click on the "Sign up now" or the "Enter here" buttons, they are able to access a whole different universe of marketing through networks.

The most important thing is that they're competent to perform the task. It's their decision. They don't need to pay your services as a leader or mentor. You could also demonstrate to them how they can get more leads and money into their business.

This is how a typical marketing channel works.

On the "front-end" you have a free offer to attract and qualify people who may have an interest to purchase your products later on in the sales funnel. Sign-up is required to get the product for free.

Once you have your contacts on your account, you are able to make them aware of offers that are similar to theirs.

After signing up to receive the free offer, you'll be directed to a webpage with a low price offer, also known as a trip wire offer. This is where they move to the "back-end of the funnel."

The purchaser are taken to another related offer at less cost if they purchase the low-priced offer (also known as an upsell). Anyone who buys the cheaper offer will be taken to the next similar product at an even higher rate. This process can be repeated for many more.
